Rahvusmeelne ja immigratsioonivastane erakond Alternative für Deutschland näitas taas oma jõudu ja tõestas muutusi Saksamaa valijate arusaamades.
Kahel liidumaal peetud valimistel saavutas AfD mõlemas teise positsiooni.
CDU kogus Saksimaa valimistel 32,1 ja Alternatiiv Saksamaale (AfD) 27,5 protsenti häältest. Brandenburgi liidumaal saavutas AfD 23,5 protsendiga samuti teise tulemuse, jäädes alla sotsiaaldemokraatidele, kes kogusid 26,2 protsenti häältest.
Peavooluerakonnad välistavad koostöö AfD-ga, kuid ei saa eirata nende kasvavat mõju ühiskonnas ja peatset võimalust ise valitsusi moodustama hakata.
